Six months - that is all Kareena’s mother has given her to make a career in Mumbai. If she can't Kareena will have to go back to Chandigarh and get married to Litto. Kareena has only three days to go before the deadline expires and she is yet to find a job. What will she do? Only a “Chamatkar” can help her!

Lo! “Chamatkar” has happened. Kareena gets a job in Chamatkar washing Powder Company as Executive Assistant, and how did she get the job? She lies to her Boss that she is married and her husband works in Lonavala as Forest Officer, because her Bosses wife wants a traditional married woman for the job. Let us see how long she is able to put on with this lie. Finally, problem solved, but wait; another is on its way in the form of Tanushree Dutta her best friend.

Tanu’s boyfriend is getting married. She rushes to Chandighar and Kareena takes her place in Radio Curry as RJ Tanushree Dutta just for a day. However later on she comes to know that the contract is for one year. Poor Kareena gets into another problem. How will she get out of it? In the office Nilambari, her Boss's wife makes her fast saying that it is Friday and every married woman should fast on Friday in the name of Goddess Santoshi Maa.

Kareena comes home with the mangalsutra and the sindoor. Padmalaxmi notices it and informs her mother. Kareena lies once again; she tells them that she is doing a play for the office function, in which she plays a married woman. In Radio Curry, some goons come in search of Tanushree Dutta, who has a balance of Rs 45000/- in her credit card. Kareena is in trouble once again Kareena is late for the office and her sequence of lies continues. She tells Nilambari that her child had fever the whole night. She tries to call Tanu from the office.

Nilambari goes along with Kareena to see her child. Kareena somehow avoids Nilambari and PK coming to her house. In Radio Curry Kareena goes to Prem to ask him Rs. 45000/- but Prem’s girlfriend comes and sees them together and gets upset. Prem rushes behind her. Kareena’s only hope goes down the drain. In the office, Kareena calls Kunal, Tanu’s boyfriends “care of” number. After Kareena’s exit, PK redials the number. Litto speaks on the phone as if he is speaking to Kareena. PK reports the matter to Nilambari. Kareena lies once again; she tells them that Litto is her sisters would be husband. PK sees Kareena in modern dress in citi mall.

In the Mall PK chases Kareena and talks to her. Kareena refuses to recognize him. In the office before PK could say anything Kareena accuses him of misbehaving in the public. To save himself PK says it was not him but his look alike, Kareena too agrees. Nilambari appoints Kareena to organize a sales conference. PK and the Marketing Manager Milan Mongia try to spoil the show but the owner Tribhuvan comes to Kareena’s rescue and organizes everything. Kareena’s problem is solved. Kareena’s grandfather comes to see her from Chandighar.

Kareena and her grand father Gurmeet go for a walk. On the way, Gurmeet meets Tribhuvan. Kareena manages to avoid Tribhuvan. In Radio Curry Prem is happy about Kareena’s show's success. Gurmeet is shocked to find sindoor and mangalsutra in Kareena’s wardrobe, he asks Kareena to tell the truth. Jitendra intervenes and tells him what actually happened.

Kareena’s boss Nilambari wants to meet her grandfather. Kareena takes Ali Chachu and introduces him as her grandfather. They invite him for lunch, which adds to their apprehension of being caught. However they are successfully fool Nilambari and Tribuvan. Meanwhile Prem goes for official work to the company Kareena is working in as a result Kareena and Prem bump into each other.

Prem calls for a meeting in Radio Curry office. He asks Kareena and Tanu both to be there in order to find out if both are the same person. Kareena has to change her attire again and again from Tanu’s to Kareena’s and from Kareena’s to Tanu’s to convince Prem that they both are different people. However she leaves her mobile on Prem’s desk which he calls on and finds out the truth.

Kareena explains that circumstances forced her to play double role. Prem forgives her. Mrs Motwani meets Kareena and gets highly impressed. Tribhuvan wishes to take his wife Nilambari on a holiday, and after thinking of many destinations Lonavala is zeroed in. Apparently Kareena’s fictitious husband lives there in a farmhouse and Kareena’s boss shows interest in meeting him.
