Mr. Ramany is born with a silver spoon as the fourth child preceded by three tormenting sisters. His sisters hate him for being the much-wanted male child of the family. He dreams of fleeing away to the USA - away from his sisters, his army-major father who runs the house like a military academy, and his mother, a primary school teacher who is always moralising. However, fate has something else in store for him. His family decides to shackle him in holy matrimony to a girl sharing the same name - Ramany. She has briefly lived in the USA. So now, we have two neurotic individuals with very different dreams, thrown together by destiny. The episodes will leave you rolling on the floor with laughter and mirth.
The newly-married Ramanys seem to be a completely mis-matched couple. They agree to disagree on everything. Tutored by his friend Balu, Mr. Ramany ignores Mrs. Ramany when she returns from her office. A fight ensues. The fight reaches a level where both want a divorce. They talk to the lawyer. The lawyer tells them to give him a call after an hour. What happens in that one hour?
As usual, the Ramanys get into an argument. Mr. Ramany challenges Mrs. Ramany to stay alone for two days while he travels to Bangalore on an official visit. Mrs. Ramany accepts the challenge. When alone at home, she confronts a thief in her house. How does she tackle this situation?
A visit by Mrs. Ramany's cousin and his comments on seeing them argue endlessly makes the Ramanys realise their mistake. Mrs. Ramany, mistaking an uncle to be the uncle of Mr. Ramany, graciously invites him home and tries to be a very good hostess. Mr. Ramany, on seeing this uncle, makes the same mistake. How the 'Uncle" uses this confusion to his advantage is captured hilariously.

This episode captures Mr. Ramany's concern for his wife. He pays her pager dues on time without her knowing about it. As a result of this, Mrs. Ramany is immensely benefitted by the offer received from the pager company. Meanwhile, Mrs. Ramany's cook comes to visit them and is in for a surprise.
Mrs. Ramany tries to fulfill her long-cherished dream of becoing an ace Odissi dancer. The preparation she makes to become one and the travails that Mr. Ramany undergoes are captured very hilariously.
