In the Ramany family, six-year-old Ramya ends up becoming the voice of reason. In addition, there is Mrs. Ramany's uncle Chandru Mama who is a jack-of-all-trades, her mother who drops in to add to their woes, a maid who has turned gossiping into an art form. The house is the stage for encounters with strange yet familiar people who pass through everyday.
The husband and wife both share the same name, Ramany. The husband keeps dreaming of his long-cherished, unfulfilled dream. The episode introduces their daughter Ramya, uncle Nair and Mrs. Ramany's uncle Chandran. Uncle Chandran promises Mrs. Ramany that will help find her a real estate promoter.
Mrs. Ramany waits for real estate promoter Doraiswamy to arrive. But he turns out to be a robber. Uncle Nair intervenes at the right time and hands him over to the police, thus saving her belongings.

Both the Ramanys invite Mr. Ramany's boss home for lunch. Mr. Ramany undergoes lot of tension in trying to impress his boss to get a promotion. But the wise moves of Mrs. Ramany saves the situation. Mr. Ramany looks at her in a different light.
The Ramanys have a tiff. Mrs. Ramany challenges her husband to look after their little daughter for one whole day. Mr. Ramany readily accepts the challenge. However, he has no inkling of the trouble he is getting into. The ordeal he goes through for the whole day is hilarious, to say the least.
The Ramanys have a difference of opinion. Mr. Ramany feels that being a housewife is a fairly easy job which allows lots of time to rest. So, Mrs. Ramany, as usual, challenges him to take over hosehold chores for one full day. Mr. Ramany ends up taking up the challenge and struggles throughout the day. To add to his woes, a salesman visits their house and takes Mr. Ramany for a ride by making him buy an ordinary product for an extraordinary price. Ultimately, it falls upon Mrs. Ramany to save the money as well as the situation. Mr. Ramany is forced to accept defeat.
The 'I want to be employed' bug catches on Mrs. Ramany. She appears for an interview, faking Mr. Ramany's computer certificates as her own. Mr. Ramany helps her rehearse for the interview. What happens in the interview? Does she get the job?
