Set in a quintessential plush locality in Mumbai, Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai depicts the story of a dysfunctional family and is a classic comedy that brings together veterans Satish Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah with the equally talented Sumeet Raghavan and Rupali Ganguli.
Sahil, the protagonist, is a guy with a golden heart who can never say 'no' and gets caught between his mother, Maya and his wife Monisha. Monisha's middle class traits irk Maya to the core of her being. Sahil's father, Indravadan, is a retired director but spices up his retirement by instigating Maya and Monisha against each other in a very hilarious manner.
Maya, Indravadan's uppity wife, cannot endure things that do not justify her parameters of living life king style. Her life revolves around monitoring all the aspects of life that are remotely "middle class" and prevent them from entering her domain. Roshesh, Sahil's younger brother, is Maya's pet, a wannabe actor, and is desperately waiting for Maya to find him a bride. Sonya, Sahil's sister, is a tarot reader and her predictions sometimes evoke a chain of actions that proves to be either hilarious or drastically pitiable for the family members.
Maya gets bruised on her head. She wakes up from her unconscious state, only to realize that her bruise has resulted in temporary amnesia. Maya the elite socialite turns as good or as bad as our middle class 'maharani' Monisha. So, will our Maya get back to her normal self? Keep guessing!
Indravadan is irked by Roshesh’s unusual poetry. To get even with him, Roshesh challenges Indravadan for a poetry competition. Watch to know who is more talented!!
Drinking and driving, and without a license, Roshesh has committed this offence. Maya would do anything to help her darling, but that's not the only disaster in action at the Sarabhai’s residence.Watch out for our masterminds at work, finding solutions mixed with confusions, in Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai.
