Nehru-The Jewel of India is about the biography of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The movie is about the people who fought for freedom, peace and progress of the country. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru's wife Kamla, is very supporting and understanding. Once she was sick and Panditji had to go to jail because of his political activity and was very guilty about it. But then he was granted a leave of 11 days so that he can meet his wife and when he was at home he got a call stating that he could be released if he gave up his political activity, but Kamla supported him and asked him to never stop his activity and he went to jail and in sometime Kamla died. This motivated Panditji to do more work for his country and he did many deeds in which he could free the country from the British rule.
