Burdened under debts to a dubious character, Sarpanch Ghotale, the villagers of Bhakaspur have no option other than slogging and repaying the money they owe Ghotale. Ghotale is of a curious nature - his actions seem to be funny, but his evil streak seems to have no boundaries. The entire village is a fiefdom run by Ghotale and its inhabitants are forced to abide by his every whim. Namdev, a simpleton, returns to the village after getting married to Bakula.
As per the tradition, he goes straight to Ghotale’s house with his wife to seek his blessings. One look at his wife and Ghotale is left speechless. He is absolutely bowled over by Bakula and decides to get married to her by hook or by crook. Knowing fully well that Bakula is married to Namdev, Ghotale still woos her in his own way. Namdev, in turn, tries to keep her out of Ghotale’s way. Meanwhile, all Bakula wants is to lead a happy married life with her husband. Ghotale’s wooing, Namdev’s simplicity and Bakula’s tit-for-tat attitude with Ghotale creates hilarious situations which are guaranteed to keep you in splits!
